Planning
With a mission to make connecting with others easier, our team wanted to develop and deliver a mobile application which merged both IoT technology and social media.
We began the mobile application development process by identifying software features which provide value to the user of the physical tapit tag. By identifying and reviewing these features, our team identified 3 main user requirements which we hoped to implement in the first phase of our mobile application.
Profile
A core function of tapit is to provide users with a profile which presents a list of their clickable links (e.g. LinkedIn Profile, Website) that external entities can navigate to with ease.
Analytics
From an analysis of tapit’s use case for external business users, we concluded that the introduction of analytics for business profiles enable businesses to understand the onboarding rates associated with brand awareness.
Activation Information
Through user testing we identified that many users experienced difficulties with the activation of their tapit tag(s). Thus, it was essential that we provided users with instructional visual aids to assist with this process and ensure our product is accessible to all consumers.
